My Political Breasts

I believe that the people who practice medicine in its many forms are dedicated, hard working people and an absolute must in our society . We cannot do without these life-savers. I also believe that the people who dedicate their lives to research in order to help make people live longer, healthier lives is fantastic. I bow down to you all in gratitude and reverence. But I ask myself sometimes if perhaps all you wonderful people may be pawns in the bigger scheme of things ? Are you constantly being dictated to by the 'Powers that be'? Are these so -called 'powers that be' the heads of multi-million dollar drug companies? Heads of  the medical profession at large?

I see that 50 years ago your risk of malignant breast cancer survival treated with a mastectomy was about one death in three. Billions of dollars and 50 years of research later and these risks are still about the same today. Evidence within the book mentioned below shows that conventional medicine just isn’t working and research seems no further ahead.. “What your Doctor may not tell you about Breast Cancer…"  John R Lee, MD, David Zava, PH.D. And Virginia Hopkins.

The above is a fantastic book and a must read. It shows how hormone balance can help save your life.

I am only joking here but I wonder if the people of old had to donate or buy a fake orange  tree leaf to help find the cure for scurvy? Just imagine how many millions of dollars they could have made out of that? Maybe to this day we could have had the "Anti-Scurvy Foundation".  Yeah, I reckon you could drag something like this out and milk it for all it's worth for decades.

Why should  I have to buy a diary or a daffodil? Will this help prevent breast Cancer? Will this stop me from getting it back again or worse, that it metastases?  Do they really put my  $2 amongst the other multi- millions collected to  fund their supposed research.?  Is  it all research?  They pay hundreds of thousands if not millions in advertising. They produce flyers, TV ads, brochures, radio ads, glossy magazines and special diaries that I know of. They  manufacture bandanas, daffodil flowers and badges, pink lady cut-outs by the millions, and plastic bracelets. then there are all the distribution and associated costs. This huge industry needs facilities to manufacture these items and that doesn't come cheap either. The manufacturing of all these products uses resources such as trees by the thousands, that end up in our bins. What are our long term repercussions from this practice alone? They build, buy or rent cancer council facilities and probably at least help finance some of the research facilities. This involves many more millions, perhaps billions of dollars. From these they pay wages to the people that run them and work within them and do the required training all over Australia . These facilities require maintenance, furnishings, computers, telephones, air-conditioners and all manner of  things associated. The big-wigs probably get company cars, expensive hotels when they have their conferences at exotic locations and other 'fringe benefits'. So I guess my question is, how much of our $2 actually goes towards research? Real research! And I ask again.... how will any of this help prevent breast Cancer?

How the Cancer Industry Controls Women (comic)

This “research’ is big business! As are the drug companies!

Is manufacturing estrogen laden plastic bracelets going to prevent breast cancer? Plastics may contain carcinogens.  Is this a contributing factor to research not really being that much further ahead? Or is all the manufacturing, which involves factories, cutting down our trees (for paper), warning us to stay out of the sun going to prevent your breast cancer? I believe it will only contribute towards more women getting breast cancer. It seems to me that they don’t really want to prevent breast cancer because this would affect business.

I personally went into a cancer council house once, yes just once, and I walked out when I saw their products for sale shelves that housed innocent things like scarves, bandanas, badges, daffodils and make-up. I had already learned about some of the listed carcinogens and suspected carcinogens that are a part of certain products including perfumes, make-up, creams, nail polish and remover etc. I was horrified when I read the back of one product and saw that a known carcinogen was included in the ingredients. I was at that time looking for products that were a little less dangerous to my health and had thrown out some of which I used like nail polish. I  assumed the “Cancer Foundation” would be advocating such products that didn't contain any carcinogens. Wrong!

Statistics get blurred when they say that death from breast cancers is decreasing. This blurring occurs when a woman with breast cancer who may have undergone a mammogram or biopsy prior to a surgical mastectomy and then Chemotherapy.  When the Chemotherapy can lead to cancer of the uterus the woman perishes from this cancer and presto she didn’t die of breast cancer! The same probably applies if the Chemotherapy kills her. (Don't be fooled into thinking that chemotherapy couldn't possibly kill you.)

Then too, the overuse of the mammogram on woman may be picking up DCIS, which is pretty much totally curable, and a cancer you can live with for your whole life. This blurs the survival statistics when the medicals use these women amongst the “cured”.

It’s no wonder the statistics are confusing and don’t shed any real light on the fact that breast cancer is much more prolific and that the death statistics are remaining the same as they were 50 years ago. Mind you, you will get more treatment nowadays.

Alternatives to cutting it out, (Lumpectomy) or removing the entire breast, (Mastectomy) burning with radiation (radiotherapy) and trying to eliminate the breast cancer with highly toxic drugs, (Chemotherapy) that just does not and cannot guarantee survival, are simply not researched, or encouraged by the medical professions. Why? When there are so many alternatives to the cutting burning and poisoning. Why is there never talk of prevention?

In a nutshell, the reasons appear quite simple. Doctors are actually paid huge amounts (and get free pens haha) to promote the drugs that are patented. They have apparently,  been threatened by the drug companies if they don’t use them and others have lost their jobs if they are caught suggesting an alternative or not dispensing a set quota. Are these drugs good for us? Do they really work? The tobacco company was taken to court and had to admit that smoking was addictive and that it could cause cancer. What would happen if these drug companies were taken to court and had to admit their drugs have killed tens of thousands of innocent women?

According to a book I read “What your Doctor may not tell you about Breast Cancer” A must read! And full of logical and scientifically backed information. The fourth or fifth leading cause of death in America is by properly prescribed drug! (according to the Journal of the American Medical Association and New England Journal of Medicine) There are other sources for this information, just read your daily paper or look it up on the internet.

Where would surgeons be if they couldn’t cut you open? They’d be broke or out of a job. What goes hand in hand with surgery? Drugs! Do we always need the recommended surgery? No!

In my own case, when I was about 35 years old I went in to see my doctor for a renewal on the pill prescription. He asked if I ever intended to have more children. My reply, because I already had two children from a then broken marriage that left me a single woman again replied "No". He then said I should be better off if I considered a hysterectomy. That way I wouldn't have to worry about the pill or even periods anymore. Personally I was horrified! And as it turned out, I remarried and had another son. I know of a few women who have been lulled into this type of surgery and all I can say is I am very very glad I didn't consider it for even a brief moment during that time in my doctors office. Right now  I couldn't imagine where I would be without my precious youngest son in my life. He is my life!

Natural alternatives cannot be patented. You can’t patent the sun or a plant or an animal for instance.  There is simply no money in telling people the benefits of the sun on breast cancer, and of course for many other benefits. (Please read my story on Vitamin D)

In my own journey through breast cancer, not one Doctor, surgeon, anesthetists, nurse, radiologist, oncologist, or any of the medical teams ever said anything to me about other ways. No, once you are in the mainstream they have an agenda to follow and that agenda is centered on, protocol, subordinate compliance, and of course driven by money. Not once was I asked a question that may relate to the reasons that I may have succumbed to these cancers. They didn’t ask much about my history at all. They don’t care what may have contributed to my cancers. Even for the sake of research I feel more questions would have been beneficial. In order to find cures they must find causes! This is only logical to me and instead they stick with a few courtesy questions and then these are only related to what is in their minds a "given" cause.  I ask now: was it the fact I took the pill for so many years? Was it an excess of oestrogen derived from my environment? Was it because I was beginning my menopause? Was it because I used too many products that have known carcinogens in them? Did I eat too much processed foods? Was I genetically predisposed to it? Was it the stress I underwent? Was it the fact I used nicotine patches on the same spots that my breast cancer developed?? Or was it a combination of these things? I think perhaps so, but which ones affected me and what can I do now to minimize my future risks? Did they tell me? No! Did they do a blood test to determine if I was lacking in any vitamin or mineral? No. Did they test my blood for oestrogen and progesterone levels? No, but then I have read that blood tests are not the most accurate way to test these levels. And if they did they certainly didn’t tell me about it. They don’t go into the causes and they don’t go into the changes one can make to either eliminate the cancers or even after they have cut, sliced, taken my breasts and fed me deadly poisons do they even so much as suggest a change in diet would be beneficial. They not only don’t care about healing, they mostly don’t even know. All they seem to know is their own specialised areas, which they stick to for fear of any kind of retribution.

There definitely is money to be made from breast Cancer.  Did you know,  that the profitability from a certain drug that is an anti-estrogen and  which is apparently not even a totally risk-free drug , (it is known  to make women suffer from side-affects like blood clots, diminished quality of life and deterioration of visions, and death by drug induced uterine cancer)  estimated  to cost about $1,000 per year each person, with roughly 60% of breast cancer women taking it, that rounds out to a billion dollars a year into the pockets of the drug companies that manufacture it? And this is just the tip of the proverbial ice-berg.
